Every adventure starts at home!

While travelling one of the first questions is ‘Where do you come from?’  The Isle of Man triggers a variety of responses…

‘Where???’

‘Is that near England?”

“Oh, that’s off the southern coast of England”… Nope that’s the Isle of Wight

“TT races!!”  (We get that one a lot)

We have 2 weeks a year when the island practically bursts with people when they arrive for the famous TT Races.  Living here we watch our everyday roads turn into a race course in a matter of minutes!  But the buzz over that period is just amazing!  A somewhat smaller affair, and with more focus on the classic bikes, is the Manx Grand Prix which takes place later in the year.  So if you love bikes, the Isle of Man is just the place for you!

So apart from the TT, what is there to do in the Isle of Man??

Well, it’s mainly an outdoors kind of place and we do tend to have some wild weather, but as long as you wear the appropriate clothing you can do just about anything.

We have a vast array of beautiful glens, plantations and walks around the island.

We have gorgeous sandy beaches and quaint little coves you can explore.

There are oodles of cycling opportunities (you may have heard of a couple of famous cyclists from here).

The island is steeped in history with a variety of sites to visit from the worlds largest working water wheel to medieval castles.

And not forgetting some pretty amazing wildlife from wallabies in the North to Seals in the south.  Our little island has it all.

It has captured the hearts of millions… hopefully it will capture yours too!
